Captain Stavros Arelis, the founder of Aegeotissa Yachts, was a renowned sailor and pioneer in the Greek yachting industry. He first sailed Ionian in late on his first yacht “Sunny Cruise” and continued growing the business with the first Aegeotissa boat in 1986, which quickly became a beloved landmark. He was a beloved figure in the yachting community and a true seafarer who respected the sea but never afraid of it.

Captain Stavros’ legacy lives on through “Aegeotissa Yachts”, still owned and operated by the Arelis family. He was a hero and a role model, demonstrating bravery during the tragic sinking of the Greek ferry “Samina” and always remaining humble and dedicated to his work as a sailor and captain.
